Encounter in Zurich By: Doris Elaine Fell Price in India.

Without a doubt, the best part about Zurich in the wintertime is the magic that comes with the Christmas season. If you find yourself in this Swiss city from late-November through December, then make sure to check out these fantastic festivities!

LIGHTS NAMED LUCY
Christmas lights have bedazzled Bahnhofstrasse, one of the most expensive shopping streets in the world, since 1971. A new light display – named Lucy – was installed in 2010, and she’s been a crowd favorite from the moment she debuted. Lucy is a starry canopy of twinkling bulbs that seems to float above Bahnhofstrasse. The gorgeous light display was named after The Beatles song, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds . And diamonds you can certainly find on Bahnhofstrasse…

Usually on the third Thursday in November, Lucy’s initial lighting kicks off Zurich’s Christmas season. Also, stores stay open later for an evening of holiday shopping in the city center. Christmas 2017 will begin at 18:00 on November 23!

A beautiful new logo and design, up to date articles and reviews and the new global coffee map. You are set with all you need when looking for the best coffee experience in your city or cities you travel to.

This is exactly what I have been doing over the past couple of months and I am happy to say, I am a big fan of the place! Here’s why..

Panthers, elephants, turtles, wild boars or fallow deer: in Zurich, young animal and nature lovers can discover both indigenous and foreign fauna and flora.

In wildlife parks in and around Zurich, young adventurers can encounter indigenous animals, some of which are now extinct in the wild in Switzerland. At Zurich Zoo or Knie’s Children's Zoo in Rapperswil, meanwhile, they have the opportunity to see exotic animals at close quarters.

By observing wild animals, children can learn all about their behavior and habitat, while fascinating educational trails tell them how they can protect their favorite species in the future.
